The Flash - Finish Line

The Flash- Finish line is a Level Design final project that was based on the DC superhero, The Flash where the player must parkour through the level to get to the end of the level

This is a solo project for a Level Design class, where I must design a level that has a start and an end. For this level, I tried to explore some environmental storytelling to put in the level and also provide clues and hints for the player to know where they must go next. This was also one of my first Unreal Engine projects that I have worked on.

 

This game is inspired by the superhero The Flash, and takes a different approach on the superspeed powers of the flash. This Level is designed to be the final level of a Flash game where the Flash relives his past experiences as a superhero.

It is a parkour platformer level where the flash must move up and towards the final area at the top to end the level.  

Level Design

For the Level Design, I put in building and props that players can jump on and move upwards.

There are multiple ways to get through the level and they will all have signs and visual cues that will indicate where players should go next.

For this project, I also learned how to implement some visual effects to create the lightning trail similar to the actual Flash superhero.
