ABOUT ME

I am Irfan Naufal Shah, an aspiring Game Designer currently earning my stripes by studying and majoring in Bachelors of Game Development (UBGD) at UOWM KDU Malaysia.  Aiming to specialize in the field of Game Design, I am learning the fundamentals of each core part of Game Development, such as visual art (Game Art) and programming (Game Technology). As a perfectionist, a tendency to finish each project with pure excellence has always been a habit of mine.

In previous ventures, I was able to learn other skills that have helped me in the adventure of becoming a game designer, such as learning coding languages such as C++, as well as learning image editing software such as Gimp and Inkscape, before moving to Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. I have also picked up the skill of video editing by using Hitfilm Express, DaVinci Resolve as well as Adobe Premiere Pro. I also have good knowledge of audio editing using the software Audacity. During my time at UOWM KDU, I have learned how to build a game using Stencyl, an easy block code and pseudocode-filled software that has the potential to make decent games with an adequate understanding of using it. I have made a few projects using Stencyl, the most successful one thus far has been published on itch.io during a game-making event in the university, "The Shootem'up of Madness" is a shootemup game that was inspired by space invaders. I have also added Unreal Engine as part of my skillset as I created works such as The Flash- Finish Line, a quick class project that I created using Unreal Engine.

With all the ideas and ridiculous scenarios of imagination that I have played out in my mind since a child, I am determined to show what my creativity and innovative mind will bring to the world of gaming.
